The Turkey Creek Tunnel was constructed in the early 1900’s to control flooding and allow land to be developed in the Kansas City West Bottoms.  TerraFirm has performed many maintenance and upgrade projects on the tunnel dating back to the mid 70’s.  TerraFirm is a subcontractor to Phillips Hardy on this interceptor project which ties in a new stormwater sewer to the inlet of the tunnel and includes construction of a temporary shotcrete coffer dam, anchoring rock walls and anchoring of the channel invert.
